Grand Hotel Fasano, set in a former hunting lodge of the Austrian imperial family, on the shores of Lake Garda, offers panoramic views and lavishing green sceneries, being immersed in a centuries-old park home to rare botanical species. Villa Principe, a 19th-century Germanic-style building with original wooden balconies, houses most of the Standard rooms. Il Pescatore Restaurant serves Italian cuisine in a more informal setting, while Ristorante Magnolia, which is open for lunch, serves Mediterranean cuisine. The cozy Gin Lounge is an excellent spot for a pre- or post-prandial drink, offering more than 100 types of gin and 14 tonics (lovingly prepared with a little fanfare at guests’ tables).
